Another Super Special Awesome “Thank You!!”

No, I didn’t get another free amigurumi doll. This is for the members of this community who constantly remind me what amazing people they are.

As many of you likely know, I recently had a birthday. I’m saying you likely know since I found out that my wife, KimmieKawaii, has been hounding you to pass along your birthday wishes for a video montage she surprised me with.

First off, thank you for indulging her. I’m blessed to be able to say that she looks forward to my birthday all year, and always tries to outdo herself. It made her happy to be able to do this, and I was very happy to see many of you respond even if you might not know her very well (Let’s be real. She’s more popular than I am here, isn’t she?).

No, it’s cool. I’m fine with that.

But more than that, thank you for everything you guys said and wrote to me. The video was beyond my expectations, and not because of Kimmie’s stellar editing work. What really floored me was that you all took the time to give me such thoughtful, personal messages for an occasion that, given how little stock I put into it myself, you had very few reasons to care about at all.

To see you all showing that kind of consideration reminded me how fortunate I am to have met you. I don’t make a habit of sharing what’s going on with me personally, so most of you probably don’t realize how much of a mood lifter your messages were. Like most everyone else, I have my share of ups and downs and unfortunately I wasn’t feeling great this past week. That all changed for my birthday, which really felt special thanks to Kimmie and all of you.

I enjoyed as much anime, cheesecake, and fun times as I could handle 🙂

I really did feel like the happiest person in the world, and I have everything I want.

I had lots of some (cheese)cake and watched ALL the a few animoos.

Before I get sappier there’s a few gifts I wanted to share. I’m a little disappointed to report that I didn’t actually receive any anime this time, but I got plenty of it earlier in the year that I’m still trying to get through, so no complaints here!

I did get some nice anime related gifts, though I dare say Kimmie went for the easy win when she picked these out:

We watched the film last night actually, so I may do a write up soon on how it compares with the original. The manga are for my slowly growing collection. At this rate I only need to wait five years before I have all eleven books ^_^’
