Ep 11 – Light of Life
After the competition ends, Kousei is approached by an old friend and confronts his rivals once again. Accepting himself as he is, Kousei decides to move forward. As the days drift into summer, Kaori receives an invitation for the two of them to play at a Gala event.

Unable to hear the notes, Kousei becomes consumed by his feelings and simply stops playing. With no hope of placing in the competition, he wonders what led Kaori to restart their performance at Towa hall. Thinking of her, he begins the piece again. Takeshi Aiza and Emi Igawa play their pieces, stunning the audience with their skills. As Kousei watches their individual performances, he comes to learn that both of them have reached these heights in part because of him.

The competition date approaches, yet Kousei is not sure he’ll be able to play the song the way he wants to. Kaori believes Kousei will succeed if he plays with sincerity, and makes him believe as well. On the day of the competition, Kousei meets a pair of old rivals.
