Ep 14 – Footsteps

Kaori’s brushes off her hospitalization again but Kousei worries about her health. Kashiwagi meanwhile tries to get Tsubaki to admit her feelings for Kousei. As the semester draws to an end, Tsubaki deals with a number of changes.

Ep 13 – Love’s Sorrow

With Kaori unaccounted for, Kousei plays a solo piano arrangement from memory in lieu of their planned duet. Still unable to hear the notes, he recalls the tenderness with which his mother played when he was a child.

Ep 12 – Twinkle Little Star

Kaori and Kousei begin practicing their piece for the Gala event, but Kousei is still having doubts about playing in general. Reflecting on everything his friends have been telling him, he starts to believe he can find a way out of the darkness.

Your lie in April Re-Watch – Halftime

We’re halfway through April and half done with the “Re-Watch Under the Full-Bloom of Spring” as well. I thought I would take a short break to give people who are watching along a chance to catch up a bit, but not without some halftime activities!

Ep 11 – Light of Life

After the competition ends, Kousei is approached by an old friend and confronts his rivals once again. Accepting himself as he is, Kousei decides to move forward. As the days drift into summer, Kaori receives an invitation for the two of them to play at a Gala event.

Ep 10 – The Scenery I Shared With You

Unable to hear the notes, Kousei becomes consumed by his feelings and simply stops playing. With no hope of placing in the competition, he wonders what led Kaori to restart their performance at Towa hall. Thinking of her, he begins the piece again.

Ep 9 – Resonance

As Emi finishes her performance, Kousei once again confronts the nervousness and excitement that comes with playing on stage. His long hours of practicing for this event appear to be paying off, but haunting memories resurface to plague him.

Ep 8 – Let it Ring

Takeshi Aiza and Emi Igawa play their pieces, stunning the audience with their skills. As Kousei watches their individual performances, he comes to learn that both of them have reached these heights in part because of him. 

Ep 7 – The Shadow Whispers

The competition date approaches, yet Kousei is not sure he’ll be able to play the song the way he wants to. Kaori believes Kousei will succeed if he plays with sincerity, and makes him believe as well. On the day of the competition, Kousei meets a pair of old rivals.

Ep 6 – On the Way Home

Despite his reluctance Kousei is entered into an upcoming piano competition, which means a lot of practice. Kaori takes the helm in guiding him in this effort, but seeing them getting along so well isn’t easy for Tsubaki.
